Three systems that cover most sites

Between them these cover portable spill control, permanent secondary containment and the emergency response gear an inspector will ask to see.

Standard Foam Berm Kit

A closed-cell foam wall coated in seamless spray polyurea and welded to an integral floor liner. It rolls out flat, sets up in minutes, and takes a loaded service truck driving straight over the wall without tearing – which is the single thing PVC-walled berms cannot do.

  • Seamless polyurea skin, no welded joints to fail
  • Rated from -40°F to 180°F service
  • Repairable in the field with a patch kit
  • Folds to a single pallet for transport

Polyurea Coating System

A two-component spray system for lining containment basins, tank pads, transformer vaults and berm walls. Applied hot and at pressure, it builds a monolithic membrane over concrete, steel, foam or geotextile with no seams anywhere in the containment envelope.

  • Immersion-grade hydrocarbon resistance
  • Bridges substrate cracking and thermal movement
  • Return to service the same day
  • Application by certified member applicators only

Emergency Spill Response Kit

Everything a first responder needs in the first ten minutes, in one wheeled overpack drum: hydrocarbon-selective pads, containment booms, socks, disposal bags, gloves, goggles and a written response card. Sized for the 55-gallon incident that makes up the bulk of reportable releases.

  • Oil-only sorbents – they float and shed water
  • Drum doubles as the disposal container
  • Inventory checklist inside the lid
  • Restock list keyed to your SPCC plan

Sizing

Size the berm before you buy it

Put your footprint in and the tool works out capacity, wall run and how much coated area you are paying for.

Foam berm sizing

Work out the holding capacity, wall run and drive-over rating for a portable berm.

Holding capacity—
Wall run (perimeter)—
Deck area—
Coating area (approx.)—

Capacity assumes a flat deck and full wall height with no freeboard deduction. Add freeboard for rain and wave action on outdoor berms.

Questions we get every week

Do I buy from the OCA?

No. The OCA is a trade association, not a distributor. We publish the specification, verify that the fabricator meets it, and route your request to member suppliers in your region. You buy from – and are supported by – the fabricator.

Is a berm enough to satisfy my SPCC plan?

Sometimes. Portable berms are widely accepted for mobile refueling and temporary operations. Fixed bulk storage almost always needs engineered secondary containment sized to 110% of the largest vessel plus rainfall. Run the applicability check first.

How long does a polyurea containment liner last?

Properly specified and applied over a prepared substrate, 15 to 25 years in buried or shaded service and 10 to 15 years in full UV exposure with an aliphatic topcoat. The failures we investigate are almost always surface preparation or dew point violations, not the chemistry.

Can I get a kit in Canada or Mexico?

Yes. Member fabricators cover all of North America. Cross-border freight and any required documentation is handled by the supplying member.

Do prices include installation?

Kit prices are for the equipment. Spray-applied systems are quoted with installation by a certified applicator because the warranty depends on the application, not just the material.
