Equipment
Proportioning equipment capable of holding temperature and pressure for the specified chemistry, with documented calibration.
Training
Named, trained sprayers – not a certificate on the office wall for someone who left two years ago.
Documented work
Three verifiable containment projects with client references the committee actually calls.
Insurance
Current general liability and pollution liability cover appropriate to containment scope.
Frequently asked
Does the OCA charge for a referral?
No. Referrals are free to anyone, member or not. Members get priority routing and a technical review of the scope before it goes out.
Does a referral mean the OCA warrants the work?
No. We verify credentials at the point of membership and re-verify annually. The contract, and the warranty, is between you and the applicator.
What if there is no member in my area?
Say so in the request. Containment crews travel routinely for work of any size, and mobilisation is usually a small share of a project of this type.
Can you help me write the specification?
Yes. Members can have the committee review a draft scope before it goes to tender. That is usually where the money is saved.
